Foto-Mosaik-Edda on a Mac OS X

Foto-Mosaik-Edda was developed for Microsoft Windows. Using Microsoft .NET-Frameworks during the implementation of Foto-Mosaik-Edda, however, makes the execution on other platforms possible through the use of the free Mono-Frameworks. The Mono-Framework is not always 100% compatible with .NET Frameworks, so Foto-Mosaik-Edda with Mono is still in an experimental phase.

To install Foto-Mosaik-Edda on a Mac, please follow these instructions:

1) Foto-Mosaik-Edda requires the free Mono-Framework Version 2.8.0, in order to run on the Mac OS X. To install the Mono-Framework, download Verion 2.8.0 from www.mono-project.com ( "Mac OSX Installer (x86)" for Intel Macs). Newer versions of Mono do not work.

2) After the download, install mono. In addition, X11 must be installed on your Mac OS X. If this is not standard, you can install it afterward from the OS X installation CD.

3) Download the OSX-Version of Foto-Mosaik-Edda: Foto-Mosaik-Edda OSX

Note: If you have purchased the professional version of Foto-Mosaik-Edda, you can also download the professional version for your Mac. Replace type=installer with type=osx in the download link you have received per email. Note that the OSX Version has Beta status and only the Windows version will be supported.

4) After downloading, start Foto-Mosaik-Edda from the archive.
